BMW i7 releases acoustic test details to improve comfort

BMW officials recently announced the relevant details of the BMW i7 acoustic test, with the purpose of further ensuring BMW's comfort among models of the same level.

Based on the current development status of the vehicle, BMW hopes that the i7 will be a benchmark model in its class that combines driving pleasure and comfort. To achieve this goal, the BMW i7 undergoes a series of tests at the Research and Innovation Center (FIZ) in Munich.

The main content includes power noise, driving noise, aerodynamic acoustics and vibration comfort testing, etc., as well as pedestrian protection prompts, simulated power output sound effects inside the vehicle and other tests; The latter was developed jointly by BMW and Hollywood film music composer Hans Zimmer.

To further reduce noise, the BMW i7 has increased the stiffness of the front end of the vehicle and uses foam sound-absorbing technology inside the tires. In addition, the smooth body surface, hidden door handles, closed chassis, etc. also contribute to reducing noise.
