Bentley recalls Bentayga and other models due to seat belt/rear seat issues

Recently, Volkswagen (China) Sales Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Management of Recall of Defective Automobile Products" and the "Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Management of Recall of Defective Automobile Products" and decided to recall the following vehicle.

1. Starting from now, some imported Mercedes-Benz and Continental GT series cars produced between September 27, 2020 and September 27, 2021 will be recalled, a total of 12 vehicles. .

The front seats of the vehicles within the scope of this recall are equipped with seat belt assemblies that do not meet the design requirements. Among them, the front passenger seat seat belt assembly may not be equipped with a self-locking roll according to the design requirements. The ALR will cause the child seat to be unable to be restrained correctly, which will increase the risk of injury to the occupants in the event of a vehicle collision, posing a safety hazard.

2. Starting from May 11, 2022, some imported Bentayga series cars produced between August 3, 2020 and February 10, 2022 will be recalled. A total of 2,630 vehicles.

Due to improper assembly during the production process of some vehicles within the scope of this recall, the rear seats may not be properly locked into the seat rails. In the event of a vehicle collision, the rear seats may move or deform, which will increase the risk of injury to the relevant occupants and pose a safety hazard.
