Recently, BYD Auto Industry Co., Ltd. and BYD Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Recall Management of Defective Automobile Products" and the "Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Recall Management of Defective Automobile Products" and decided to The following vehicles are recalled starting September 30, 2024.

1. BYD Automobile Industry Co., Ltd.

Recall some domestic Dolphin and Yuan PLUS electric vehicles produced between February 4, 2023 and December 26, 2023, a total of 87,762 units.

2. BYD Automobile Co., Ltd.

Recall some domestic Yuan PLUS electric vehicles produced between November 2, 2022 and June 19, 2023, a total of 8,952 units.

Due to the manufacturing process of the electric power steering column assembly (CEPS) controller of some vehicles within the scope of this recall, when the upper cover of the equipment tooling is closed, it interferes with the capacitors on the controller circuit board, causing micro cracks in the capacitors. . During vehicle use, microcracks in the capacitor may expand and cause a short circuit, causing the capacitor to overheat, ablate, or even catch fire, posing a safety risk.

BYD Auto Industry Co., Ltd. and BYD Automobile Co., Ltd. will entrust BYD authorized dealers to install controller insulating gaskets for vehicles within the recall scope for free to eliminate potential safety hazards.
