Upgraded e-POWER system, Nissan Qashqai e-POWER official image released

Recently, Nissan released the official picture of the Qashqai e-POWER. The e-POWER system of the new car has been upgraded. The 1.5T three-cylinder engine does not directly participate in power drive, but supplies power to the battery pack, specifically for the e-POWER system. The developed 1.5T three-cylinder engine is also equipped with variable compression ratio technology.

In terms of appearance, the new Qashqai adopts Nissan’s latest “V- Motion" family design language, inverted trapezoidal grille and internal strip elements, split headlights, etc. make it look sharper and enhance its recognition. The side adopts a swooping line design, and the tail uses many irregular elements. The license plate frame is in the middle, which looks very compact. Add the e-POWER logo to the details to enhance the sense of exclusivity.

The 1.5T three-cylinder engine equipped with variable compression ratio technology has a power of 156 horsepower, which has far exceeded the parameters of the previous 1.2T engine. The total output of the new Qashqai e-POWER The power is 188 horsepower, which is a significant improvement in power level. In addition, Qashqai e-POWER is driven by an electric motor, and the engine does not directly participate in vehicle driving, which also allows the new car to have better response speed when starting and accelerating.

The compression ratio of the 1.5T three-cylinder engine varies between 8:1 and 14:1. On demand, when charging the battery or supplying power directly to the motor, a lower compression ratio is activated to maximize the engine's power output.
