Recently, Intel's Mobileye and Geely Automobile Group's Ji Krypton jointly announced that the two parties will expand their strategic partnership and aim to launch new pure electric vehicles with L4 capabilities by 2024.
Information shows that the new car will use 6 EyeQ 5 chips to handle Mobileye’s driving strategy and open collaboration model of map technology. At the same time, the new car will be built based on Geely's SEA platform, and both parties will effectively integrate software technology. Mobileye will strengthen its China-related R&D capabilities, establish a local data center, and strengthen its local team to further support rapid growth in China.
According to the plan, Jikrypton’s new car will debut in China in 2024, and it is expected to become the world’s first consumer-grade autonomous vehicle with L4 autonomous driving capabilities. In the future, the car will also be launched in global markets.
